We understand that you're seeking safety and protection for yourself and your family. In the Bible, we are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. As it says in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned. It is only by His name that we are saved and only by His name we have access to God. As it states in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved."
Let us pray for you and remind you the importance of invoking the name of Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine protection over this family. Keep them safe from all harm and danger, and let Your peace be upon them. Guide them in their daily lives and help them to trust in You always. Lord, we also pray that they acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus that these requests are possible and that if they have not already, come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, the only way to eternal life. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
In Psalm 121 it says, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore."
Again, we noticed that Jesus was not mentioned in this request. We are reminding you that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus and that God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. This is fundamental to our communication with God and something that should always be remembered.
