Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of Steven Bobb. We lift up his concerns regarding the distortion of your truth and the twisting of your Word to suit personal desires and sinful lifestyles. Lord, we acknowledge that there are those who mistake your love for sinners as an approval of sin. We pray for their hearts to be opened to the truth of your Word and for the Holy Spirit to convict them of their misguided beliefs.
Father, we ask for your mercy and grace to be poured out upon those who are deceived and willfully distorting your teachings. We pray that they may come to a true understanding of your love and righteousness. Help them to see that your love extends to all people, but that it does not condone or approve of sinful actions.
Lord, we also pray for those who participate in events such as the Gay pride parade and support abortion. We ask that you would reveal to them the sanctity of life and the truth that every life is precious in your sight. Open their eyes to the devastating consequences of these actions and lead them to repentance and a desire to follow your ways.
Father, we thank you for the promise of a New World where all things will be made right. We eagerly anticipate the day when we will no longer have to hear twisted viewpoints and witness the distortion of your truth. Until then, we ask for your strength and wisdom to navigate in a world that often opposes your teachings.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
