In the age of modern technology and prayer sites, is easy to hit "Quick Reply" and forget to actually request anything from God... It may register on our "Content Count" and increase our earthly "reputation," but we must not fool ourselves that we have actually prayed if we have not asked anything from God in faith believing it is received. We must never swap our computer screen, tablet or smart phone for a relationship with God. Our Heavenly Father likes us to approach Him, and in confidence, ask from Him on behalf of ourselves and others, and firmly believe we receive from Him. That is prayer as defined by Christ, His Apostles, and His Old Testament Prophets and Scriptures teach the self-same thing.
Prayer is primarily made of of three (3), sometimes four (4) simple steps.
1) You must gain the audience of God by entering His presence, it doesn't take as long as entering a court on earth or getting an appointment with a King or President, but that step cannot be missed. We must approach the Holy of Holies through The Sprinkling of The Blood of Jesus, Our High Priest, Who has given us 24/7 access to the Father (John 14:6, Rom 5:2, Eph 2:18, Eph 3:12, Heb 4:16, Heb 10:19).
2) We must actually ask Our petition from Him and with intercession for others, why not mention the person by name (Matt 7:7, Eph 1:16, Philemon 1:4 and other verses, below).
3) We must have confidence that God hears and if He hears we have the answer (1 John 5:14-15).
(4th) This step would be persistence in prayer or thanksgiving if the answer is not received right away, some say "reminding the Lord" (Isaiah 62), but it is actually more reminding ourselves and keeping ourselves in faith and in an expectant posture (Again verses on asking below also say to have confidence in His faithfulness, read them and the definition of faith in Hebrews 11:1, "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
I am not saying that every "I prayed for this" is merely an unconscious click of a button, but I do know the human condition adequately enough to know that I and others are able to hit "Quick Reply" or even "Thanks for this" and not relate this to actually gaining His presence, requesting anything from Our Father, and certainly not expecting it done or continuously asking for the petition (Luke 18) or mixing the petition with thanksgiving (Phil 4:6-7).
The importance of mixing prayer with believing you will receive from God Our Heavenly Father was highlighted and emphasized by Jesus: Matt 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?"
Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven." Here we see it would also do well for the person requesting to actually ask God for what they post so that if one other person touches God and agrees from your posted petition it is accomplished.
If we pause, seriously ask God our Father for our petition and the petitions and people who have posted on this sight, believe God heard us, then we receive and we can click. There is no magical power in our "clicking I Prayed" -- and it will profit nothing unless we focus, ask and believe we receive. That is actually agreeing with the person who posted the request.
1) So when we pray, let us remember God is our all powerful Father, not a robot or computer screen we "click"!!!
2) Let us sincerely take 5 seconds or as long as it requires to actually get the topic in our minds and ask God our Father to grant it.
3) Believe we receive it because God promises to answer in Jesus' name.

James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord..."
So when we pray, let us remember God is our all powerful Father, not a robot or computer screen we "click"!!! Sincerely take 5 seconds or as long as it requires to actually get the topic in our mind and connect with Our Father and ask Him to grant it. Believe we receive it in Jesus' Name. Prayer is a relationship with God not a computer screen or smartphone! Lastly, God counts the quality and quantity of the prayers we actually pray -- not, as humans are apt to do, how many "Clicks" or "Posts" I have to my "Reputation" -- May this lead to more constructive and productive, happier, praying that yields a deeper relationship to God in prayer as well as heavier eternal rewards! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
