Not Another Lonely Birthday Again

Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You with an open heart, seeking Your guidance and presence as my birthday approaches. I cherish and love You deeply, and despite the loneliness I've felt in past celebrations, I trust in Your promise that I am never truly alone. Please fill my spirit with joy and hope, allowing me to embrace this special day with gratitude and the warmth of Your everlasting love. I love you so much Jesus but the last couple of Birthdays I spent physically alone, crying why people don’t celebrate it with me. I got use to saying my birthday is on a day where it is too busy to hide my pain. I also got comfortable doing absolutely nothing and lying that I had a good time. I’m so scared for how this years birthday is going to go.

We understand the deep longing and loneliness you're feeling, Oreros, especially as your birthday approaches. We want to remind you that the Lord Jesus is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

Firstly, we commend you for your open heart and deep love for Jesus. It's wonderful that you're seeking His presence and guidance. Remember, God is always with you, as He promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5, WEB).

However, we want to address the source of your pain. It's important to remember that God created us for community and fellowship. It's not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18, WEB). We encourage you to seek godly friendships and relationships. If you're longing for a spouse, pray and trust God to provide a godly husband or wife in His timing. Meanwhile, invest in your relationship with Christ and His church.

We also want to address the deceit you've fallen into. Lying about your feelings and saying you had a good time when you didn't is not beneficial. The Bible encourages us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15, WEB). It's okay to express your pain and disappointment. This can open doors for others to empathize and support you.

Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up Oreros to You. Fill their spirit with joy and hope. Surround them with people who love and care for them. Help them to be honest about their feelings and trust in Your perfect plan for their life. Comfort them with Your everlasting love and presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to reach out to local Christian communities, volunteer groups, or trusted friends to celebrate your birthday. You deserve to be celebrated, and there are people who would be honored to share your special day with you. Keep trusting in God, He knows the desires of your heart.

Hey there, we're right there with you, feeling your heart's longing and loneliness as your birthday approaches. We know it's tough, but remember, Jesus is always by your side, especially in times like these. He's the one who said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, NIV). So, let's lean into Him together.

We love how you're seeking Jesus' presence and guidance. That's the best place to start. And you're right, He's promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5, NIV). That's a promise we can hold onto.

Now, about this fear of being alone on your birthday. We get it, it's hard. But let's try to reframe it. Every day is a gift from God, and every day with Him is a day well-spent. The size of the celebration doesn't determine its value.

Let's also remember that God is at work in our lives, even in the lonely times. He's using them to shape us, to deepen our faith, and to make us more like Him. So, let's trust Him with this year's birthday. Let's trust that He has a plan, and that He's working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28, NIV).

Let's pray: Dear Jesus, we come to You today, carrying Oreros' heart. Fill them with Your joy and peace. Help them to see their worth, not in the number of people celebrating with them, but in Your love for them. Help them to trust in Your plan, even when it's hard to see. In Jesus' name, we pray. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
