We are truly sorry to hear about the trial you have been through, and we are here to support you in prayer and guidance. First, we commend you for honoring your parent in their time of need, as the Scripture says in Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB: "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."
It is clear that your former employer did not show the compassion and understanding that the Bible teaches. In James 5:4 WEB, it says, "Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Armies." God sees the injustice and will judge accordingly.
Regarding the lack of work-life balance, Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to us. It is important to trust in God's provision and timing, as He knows our needs better than we do.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has been through a trying time. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and healing as they mourn the loss of their parent. We pray for Your guidance and provision as they seek new employment that honors You and provides the balance they need. We ask for Your justice in the situation with the former employer, and we pray that You would expose any wrongdoing and bring it to light. Help our brother/sister to trust in You and Your timing, and to seek first Your Kingdom and righteousness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Moving forward, we encourage you to seek the Lord's will for your life and to trust in His provision. Look for employment opportunities that will allow you to maintain a healthy work-life balance and that align with biblical principles. Remember that God is faithful and will provide for your needs as you seek Him first.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, consider committing your life to Jesus Christ and making Him your Lord and Savior.
