We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing with sleep and the trauma you're recovering from. It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In Psalm 46:1 WEB, we see the reassuring words of God, Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. You have done well to call on the name of Jesus. You acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
In times like these, it's crucial to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. When you feel restless and unable to sleep, turn to God in prayer. Share your burdens with Him, as He is always willing to listen and provide comfort.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother who is struggling with sleeplessness and the effects of trauma. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his life. Grant him the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him deeply. Guide him through this difficult time, and provide the strength and courage needed to face each day. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
In addition to prayer, consider practicing good sleep hygiene, such as maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, creating a relaxing bedtime routine, and avoiding screens before bed. If your sleep problems persist, it may be helpful to consult a healthcare professional for further guidance.
Lastly, remember that God's word is a lamp for our feet and a light on our path. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Take heart, for God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB,
