Tweolkalwell, we understand that you're hoping for a day off from school, but we want to encourage you to find joy and purpose in the responsibilities and tasks that God has given you in this season of life. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going," (WEB). This verse reminds us to make the most of the opportunities and responsibilities we have.
While it's natural to want a break, it's important to remember that our attitude and approach to our daily tasks, including school, should honor God. Also please note that the scriptures tell us in Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. and in Colossians 3:23-34,
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
We encourage you to embrace your studies with a positive attitude, knowing that God has placed you in school for a purpose. Pray for strength and endurance, and remember that God is with you in all that you do.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, our source of strength and wisdom. We pray for Tweolkalwell, ask You to help them find joy and purpose in their schoolwork. Help them to embrace their responsibilities with a positive attitude, knowing that You have placed them there for a purpose. Give them the strength and endurance to complete their tasks. Help them remember that in all things they do to do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to You through him. Remind them to seek Your will in all things and to trust in Your plan for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let's remember:
No snow storm can help meet our future needs. Snow storms can be fun but we need to plan.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
It is nice to visit with friends and neighbors and spend time with them. Some of our neighbors may not be as fortunate as we are. We can help them and talk to them about God's love.
And who is my neighbor. And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
In closing let us pray again.
Dear God, thank you for the opportunity to share your love with others. Please help us to be good neighbors and to show mercy and kindness to those in need. Help us to love you with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
