Dear Steven Bobb,
We understand your frustration and discouragement about waiting for the Rapture, but we want to remind you that God's timing is perfect. In 2 Peter 3:8-9 (WEB), it is written: "But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
The delay is not because God has forgotten His promise, but because He is patient and long-suffering, wanting everyone to have the chance to turn to Him. In Matthew 24:44 (WEB), Jesus tells us, "Therefore be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come." We must always be ready and continue to live faithfully for Him, regardless of the timing.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for patience and renewed hope for Steven. Help him to trust in Your perfect timing and to continue living faithfully for You. Strengthen his faith and give him peace, knowing that Your promises are true. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, let's continue to do the work God has called us to do, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others. Remember, our ultimate hope is in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, not solely in the timing of the Rapture. Be encouraged, Steven, and keep your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 10:13 (WEB), "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Keep calling on His name and trusting in Him.
