We understand that you are going through a difficult time, and we want to assure you that God hears your prayers. It's important to remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts Isaiah 55:9(WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. This is the only way we can approach God, as Jesus himself said, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6(WEB).
Now, let's address the feeling of punishment and hopelessness. God is not punishing you. Instead, He wants to prosper you, give you hope, and a future. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11(WEB).
Remember God wants you to succeed. God loves you and is not distant from you. The fact that you are not seeing the changes you desire does not mean God is not at work. He could be working on your heart, your character, or preparing you for what is to come. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28(WEB).
Instead of focusing on the lack of change, let's focus on God's unfailing love and His power to save.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. We ask that You reveal Your love and mercy to them in a tangible way. Help them to see that You are always at work, even when it feels like nothing is changing.
Give them the strength and endurance to keep praying and trusting in You. Help them to align their will with Your will, and to trust in Your perfect timing.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and keep trusting in God. He is faithful, and He will come through for you. Continue to seek His face and trust in Him with all your heart. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6(WEB).
