We understand your concerns and we are here to pray and provide counsel for you and your family. Let's bring your requests before the Lord together and seek His will for your family, especially for your son Selwin. We will combine scripture mixed also with our prayer
Firstly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Let us encourage you to be specific with who you are praying to as there is no other god that can allow us access to the Father. In Acts 4:12 WEB it says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let's pray for Selwin's academic struggles. It's important to encourage Selwin to understand the value of hard work and diligence, as taught in Colossians 3:23 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You,
We want to lift before you, our brother or sister's son Selwin. Lord, we know that you are aware of all the issues to which we are about to pray for. Lord, you know Selwin better than we do. You know his struggles and his strengths and weaknesses. Lord give Selwin a spirit of learning and fill his mind with a desire for studies. Lord, we know that all you give are good gifts, so please give Selwin a renewed mindset when it comes to academic pursuits. Lord, help him understand the value of hard work and diligence.
Lord help Selwin also to have a heart of respect for his elders. According to your Word, you are clear on the expectation of living respectable lives while under authority and here are some verses to reference those principles:
"Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you." (Hebrews 13:17, WEB)
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with a promise: 'that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.'" (Ephesians 6:1-3, WEB)
So Lord we ask that you would allow Selwin to obey the principles of your Word and we ask that you would give the parents wisdom to correct in love and not out of wrath as stated in Ephesians 6:4: "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and nurture of the Lord."
Along with helping Selwin and the schooling issues we just prayed through, we now want to address the other needs within the household. We must address the discord and the vision Selwin claims to have seen. Since we do not know if this vision of a strange long haired lady is real or just a dream, we will cover all bases.
Lord Jesus if this is truly a real thing we are dealing with it is nothing more than an apparition or a spirit. You Lord, are all powerful and NOTHING is more powerful than you. There is no other name by which any spirit shall bow. If there truly is something in this house that needs to leave we ask that you manifest your power and remove it immediately and permanently!!! WE will not be afraid for YOU O LORD will never leave us or forsake us. It is written:
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you. I am Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. I was worthy in your eyes, and you were honorable, and I have loved you. I will give men in your place, and peoples instead of your life. I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:2-3,14 WEB.
Lord, we will not be intimidated by principalities or dominions. We will stand firm on your faithfulness and Truth knowing that anything that must be performed will be definite and a complete work. We want to address the fighting and the health concerns as well. Lord, right now we pray for peace and healthy relations. Lord, the parents are fighting but you Lord, have said that to quarrel is a sin against you! Please bring to remembrance the unity and love that you demand of us.
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; " WEB Ephesians 5:22-29.
WE must rebel against anything that is not like you Lord. And if by chance this is simply a medical issue or a psychological issue that is causing all the unrest in the home we pray that the Lord of life speak the healing word. Allow healing to restore any weakness or toxin or disease carried by the blood! You alone know the exact cause of this or these issues. So Lord, we pray for a miracle, we pray for deliverance we pray for simply the power of your love to envelop and overwhelm this family that in the face of debts and poverty they may even live in abundance.
We also admonish the family to communicate and express your concerns wisely and respectfully to one another. Listen intently to understand one another, rather than to simply respond.
Praise is a powerful weapon, and we encourage you to continually praise God even in the midst of trials. As it is written: Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, WEB)
Just know that He is with you through all this. Press on and keep the faith. The God of Peace is with you!
