Myraissard, we understand that you're struggling with social smoking and are concerned about becoming addicted. We appreciate you reaching out for prayer and support. First, we want to remind you that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with our bodies. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Smoking, whether socially or otherwise, can harm your body, and it's important to take steps to quit. We are glad you are not praying to a saint, angel, or Mary and want to remind you to pray in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Myraissard in prayer. Lord, they have confessed their struggle with social smoking, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Help them to quit this habit and avoid becoming addicted. We know smoking may take a toll on their body and mind, but by Your stripes are healed. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of addiction from their life.
Father, we ask that you give Myraissard strength and grace to overcome this temptation. Replace the craving for smoking with a hunger for Your presence. Help them to stand firm in their resolve and to glorify You in their body and spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Myraissard, we encourage you to find support in fellow believers who can hold you accountable and pray with you. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB.
Whenever you feel the craving, turn to God in prayer. Keep your hands busy with productive activities, and your mind focused on God's Word. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
