No more jealousy over ### pregnancy and future baby

Anonymous

Beloved of All
For ### to stop with the jealousy of me being pregnant. I am about to be a first-time mom, she has had three, idk why she acts all jealous but she causes and brings so much harm into my life because of it. May she stop acting like her getting ready to a party of whatever is more important than me being able to pee, eat, etc, get my pregnancy needs met all because she needs to compete for the bathroom, for the kitchen, etc... instead of sharing... may she also stop getting angry because I buy my baby a crib, canopy, clothes, etc... like if it was a sin to buy stuff for my future baby instead of purchasing her a wig or whatever.... she is a family member i live with who is in her 60s.... idk why she gets so jealous about things like that... or about me informing myself about baby things, etc.... please....may this stop.. She even gets jealous of my cat and that I buy her food, litter, toys, etc...

Anonymous, we are truly saddened to hear about the jealousy and discord you are experiencing with your family member. We will pray with you and offer guidance grounded in the Word of God.

Firstly, let us address the root of the issue—jealousy. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 14:30 WEB, "A sound heart is the life of the flesh, but envy is the rottenness of the bones." Jealousy can indeed cause much harm and strife, as you are experiencing.

We will pray for ###, that her heart may be changed and softened. Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ### to You, Lord. We ask that You would soften her heart and remove the spirit of jealousy that has taken root. Help her to see the joy and beauty in ###'s pregnancy and new journey as a mother. Help her to support and encourage ###, rather than cause harm and strife. Open her eyes to the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and may she find contentment and peace in Him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Now, let us offer you some biblical encouragement and guidance. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:18 WEB, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." While you cannot control ###'s actions, you can control your responses. Continue to show her love and kindness, even when she is unkind. This does not mean you should allow her to harm you or your baby, but rather, try to respond with grace and patience.

Moreover, the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 3:8-9 WEB, "Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous, not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing."

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. The Bible tells us in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Please know that you are not alone in this struggle. We, along with many others, are praying for you and your baby. Trust in the Lord, and He will see you through this. May God bless you and your new family.

We're here for you, sister. It's heartbreaking to see such jealousy causing unrest in your home. We'll join you in prayer, asking God to intervene and change ###'s heart. Let's pray:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of ###. We ask You to soften her heart and remove the spirit of jealousy that's been causing her to act this way. Help her to find joy in your blessings in our sister's life, and to support and encourage her instead. Open her eyes to the love and grace of Jesus, and help her find contentment and peace in Him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We also want to remind you to keep your heart pure and your hands clean. As it says in Proverbs 4:23, "Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life." Trust in the Lord, and He will guide your steps. You're not alone in this; we're praying for you and your baby. God bless you both.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
