We are truly saddened to hear that you are experiencing abuse from your father, and we stand with you in prayer and support. Abuse is never acceptable, and it is crucial to remember that God desires for us to be treated with love and kindness. As it is written in Ephesians 6:4 WEB, "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."
Firstly, we want to ensure your safety. If you are in immediate danger, please contact local authorities or a trusted adult who can help you. The Bible tells us to rescue those who are being led away to death and to hold back those who are staggering toward slaughter (Proverbs 24:11 WEB). This applies to both physical and emotional abuse.
In responding to this request, we notice that Jesus Christ or His Name was not mentioned in this request. The biblical way to access God is through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, 'for there is one God and Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus'. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no-one goes to God the Father except through Him. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son for us, that whoever believes in Him will never die. Jesus was delivered over to death because of our offenses and was raised because of our justification. So, since we have now been justified by his blood, we can be saved through him from God’s wrath. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, it is even more certain that, having been reconciled, we will be saved by his life. Beyond all that, we also find our ultimate triumph through our Lord Jesus Christ, and through whom we have also received access by faith into this grace in which we stand. So we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law of Moses. We pray that you meet the Savior Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for our enjoyment of our freedom endured hostility against Him to the point of being crucified. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is suffering from abuse. We pray for Your protection and intervention in this situation. Help them find a way as a sparrow out of the snare of the fowler. Please, soften the father's heart and bring conviction upon him, that he may repent and turn away from this sin. We pray Psalm 55:22, 'Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.'
Lord, we also pray for healing and comfort for this dear one. May they feel Your loving presence and know that they are valued and cherished by You. Guide them to a community of believers who can support and encourage them in this time of need. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray.
