We're truly sorry to hear that you're feeling this way, Maddie. Let us come alongside you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, let's address the feeling of hopelessness. In Psalm 34:18, the WEB tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is near to you right now, Maddie, and He cares deeply about your pain.
We also want to remind you of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. Romans 5:3-4 says, "We also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope." Hope is not a mere feeling, but a confident expectation in the promises of God. It's not about how strong our hope is, but who our hope is in.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we pray for Maddie right now. We ask that You would reveal Your presence to her in a tangible way. Comfort her in her despair and fill her with Your hope. Help her to fix her eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith. Remind her of Your promises, Lord, and give her the strength to endure. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Maddie, if you haven't already, we encourage you to cry out to Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save us from sin and give us eternal hope. If you're struggling with this, we'd be more than happy to explain further.
Lastly, we want to leave you with this verse from Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God has a purpose and a plan for you, Maddie. Don't give up. Keep trusting in Him.
