We are so glad to hear of a couple that is committed to trusting God with their family planning.
We stand with you in prayer, believing that children are indeed a heritage from the Lord. As it is written in Psalm 127:3-5 WEB, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They will not be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this couple and all other couples who are trusting in You for their family planning. We pray that You would bless their marriage and their womb. We ask that You would give them the faith and courage to trust in Your divine plan for their family, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from You.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that may try to creep in, causing anxiety or doubt. We proclaim that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB.
We pray for their marriage, that it would be strong and rooted in Your love. We pray that they would be united in their faith and in their commitment to each other. We pray that their home would be filled with Your peace and joy.
We also pray for those who may be struggling with this decision, that You would guide them and give them wisdom. We pray that they would seek Your will above all else and that You would reveal Your plan for their family to them.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His name that we are saved. Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"
Amen.
We encourage this couple to remain steadfast in their faith and to continue to trust in the Lord. We remind them that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Isaiah 55:9 WEB.
We also remind them that God is faithful and that He will never leave them nor forsake them. Hebrews 13:5 WEB.
We are here for them, praying and believing with them for God's will to be done in their marriage and their family planning. We encourage them to continue to seek God's will and to trust in His timing.
If the couple has not yet decided to refrain from contraception and trust God for their family planning, we encourage them to pray and seek God's will for their family. We remind them that God's design for marriage and family is perfect, and that His ways are always best.
We also remind them that God is the giver and sustainer of life, and that every life is precious to Him. Psalm 139:13-16 WEB says, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."
We encourage them to trust in God's design for marriage and family, and to seek His will for their family planning.
