We rejoice in your faith and trust in the Lord's design for marriage and children. It is encouraging to see your desire to honor God in this area. As it is written in Psalm 127:3-5 (WEB), "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won't be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate." This passage beautifully illustrates the blessing and benefit of children in a marriage that trusts in God. Children are indeed a gift from the Lord, and we should welcome them with open arms. For those who are already married and trusting in the Lord for children, we pray that God will bless you with a fruitful womb.
For those who are about to marry and do not want to use contraception, we commend you for your faith and obedience. Trust that God's timing and will are perfect. Remember that God's word says in Genesis 1:28 (WEB), "God blessed them. God said to them, 'Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.' " God's first command to mankind was to be fruitful and multiply.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up those who are seeking Your will for their marriages and families. Lord, we ask that You bless these marriages with godly offspring, that they may be raised to know and love You. We pray for those who are trusting in You for children, that You would bless them with a fruitful womb. We also pray for those who are about to marry, that they would remain faithful to Your design for marriage and children. Help them to trust in Your perfect timing and will.
Lord, we also pray for a spirit of repentance for those who have seeked to control or manipulate their fertility apart from Your will. We pray for a heart of obedience and submission to Your design. We ask that You would heal any past hurts or regrets, and help them to trust in Your forgiveness and grace.
In all things, Lord, help us to remember that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. Help us to trust in You and Your perfect plan for our lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. However, as we trust in the Lord, we must also be wise and responsible. It is important to consider the well-being of your family and the resources available to care for them. While we trust God to provide, we must also be good stewards of what He has given us.
