We are in agreement with you, marls, that children are indeed a heritage of the Lord. It is wonderful to see your trust in God's design for marriage and procreation. As it is written in Psalm 127:3-5 (WEB), "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They will not be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate."
We join you in praying for those who are already married and trust in the Lord for children, as well as those about to marry and who do not want to use contraception. We pray that their marriages will be blessed with godly offspring, and that they will raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all married couples who are trusting in You for children. We pray that You would bless their unions and grant them the desire of their hearts. We also pray for those who are preparing for marriage and desire to follow Your plan for their lives. Give them wisdom and courage to trust in You completely.
Lord, we know that children are a gift from You, and we thank You for the precious lives that will be brought into the world as a result of these couples' faith. Help them to be godly parents, raising their children to know and love You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage all who are entering into marriage to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, let us always approach God through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
If there are any individuals or couples struggling with doubt or fear regarding this matter, we encourage them to seek God's will through prayer and the reading of His Word. Let us always strive to align our lives with biblical principles, trusting in God's perfect plan for us.
