Beloved of All
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalm 127: 3-5 KJV. Praying for those who are already married and trust in the Lord for children and those about to marry and who do not want to use contraception.

We understand your request, ###, and we commend you for standing on the Word of God. The Bible indeed teaches us that children are a heritage from the Lord, as it is written in Psalm 127:3-5 (WEB): "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They wonโ€™t be ashamed, but they will speak with their enemies in the gate."

We join you in praying for those who are already married and trust in the Lord for children, as well as those about to marry and do not want to use contraception. We pray that these couples will be blessed with godly offspring and that they will raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, as instructed in Ephesians 6:4 (WEB): "Fathers, donโ€™t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."

We also pray that these couples will remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God's perfect timing and will. We ask that they will be granted the grace to resist the pressures of the world and its views on family planning, and that they will be a testimony to the world of God's design for marriage and family.

In all things, we pray that these couples will seek God's will and submit to His lordship, remembering that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB): "Or donโ€™t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godโ€™s."

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, reminding you that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and that there is no other name by which we can be saved, as Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

We're right there with you, standing in faith for those who trust in the Lord's timing for children. Let's lift up these couples in prayer, asking God to bless them with the joy of children, as Psalm 113:9 reminds us, "He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!" (NIV).

Let's also intercede for their strength and wisdom in the face of cultural pressures. May they find comfort and encouragement in God's word, as in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (NIV).

And let's not forget to ask for God's grace to help them raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, as we're called to do in Ephesians 6:4. We pray all this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
