We understand your concern for your grandson Dylan, and we join with you in prayer, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for him. Let us remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says the LORD, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Firstly, we pray that Dylan may come to know Jesus personally. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray that Dylan's heart may be opened to receive this truth and that he may believe in Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
We also pray for Dylan's self-esteem, that he may understand his worth in the eyes of God. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." We pray that Dylan may recognize that he is God's workmanship, created with a purpose, and that his value is not determined by his circumstances or achievements, but by the love of God.
We rebuke the spirit of apathy and lack of ambition in Dylan's life. Proverbs 29:18 tells us, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." We pray that God will give Dylan a vision for his future, that he may set godly goals and pursue them with enthusiasm. We ask God to surround Dylan with positive influences and godly mentors who can encourage and support him in his journey.
Finally, we pray that Dylan may walk closely with Jesus, growing in his faith and obedience. We ask that God's will be done in Dylan's life, and that he may bring glory to God in all that he does.
We encourage you, Elener, to continue praying fervently for Dylan, and to speak words of life and encouragement over him. Remember that our prayers are powerful and effective, as James 5:16 tells us, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much." Trust that God is at work in Dylan's life, even when you cannot see it, and that He loves Dylan even more than you do.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
