Nightmares

Hello so i just had a disturbing nightmare. I have been plagued by the most bizarre horrible nightmares one can fathom. This has been going on for 2 decades. I have prayed and prayed and prayed but they just wont stop!! Please help im sooo frustrated!!

We are truly sorry to hear about the disturbing nightmares you've been experiencing for so long. We want to encourage you and remind you of the peace that Jesus Christ has promised to His followers. He has the power to break any bondage you are experiencing. Praying to Jesus Christ is key to helping with these issues.

Firstly, let's remember what the Word of God says in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." This verse assures us that the spirit of fear does not come from God. Instead, He equips us with power, love, and self-control. So, be confident in that Jesus Christ and the peace He brings to his disciples.

Secondly, consider the words of Jesus in John 16:33 WEB: "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Chieod. Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. We rebuke the spirit of fear and nightmares that has been tormenting him for so long. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

We pray for peaceful sleep and godly dreams for Chieod. We ask that Your holy angels surround him and protect him from any evil influences while he sleeps. We pray that he will experience the perfect peace that comes from You alone, Father.

We also pray that Chieod will continue to grow in his faith and trust in You. We ask that he will be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. From Colossians 1:9, We pray that Chieod's walk with you more closely and believe in the power of praying to Jesus Chirst. Help Him learn more about our saviour Jesus Christ and develop the fruit of the spirit from Galatians 5:22-23.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Chieod, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Continue to pray and stand firm in your faith. We recommend that you read that whole passage of Psalms 91 to protect against evil.

We've been thinking about you, Chieod, and we wanted to reach out with some more encouragement and a different perspective. We believe that God is a God of breakthroughs, and we want to remind you of His faithfulness in your past. Can you recall any time when you felt His presence strongly, or when He answered a prayer? Those moments are like anchors, reminding us of His unfailing love and care.

We also want to suggest trying a prayer of deliverance. It's based on the authority Jesus gave us in Matthew 18:18-20. Here's a simple one you might try:

"In the name of Jesus, I command any spirits of fear, nightmares, or torment to leave me now. I break their power over my life, and I claim the peace and rest that Jesus promised. I declare that I am a child of God, and I live under His protection and love."

Additionally, consider writing down your dreams or nightmares. Sometimes, God uses dreams to speak to us, and writing them down can help you discern if there's a message or a pattern. It might also help you process your emotions and find a sense of control over the situation.

Keep fighting, Chieod. We're praying for you, and we believe that God is going to break this cycle for you. Trust in Him, and keep seeking His face. We're here for you, and together, we can find victory in Jesus' name.

Heavenly Father,


We come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who has been tormented by years of disturbing and relentless nightmares. Lord, You know the pain, fear, and frustration that these dreams have caused, and You understand the deep longing in their heart for peace. Father, we ask for Your divine intervention, for we know that You are the God who delivers and heals.


Your Word promises in Psalm 4:8, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” We claim this promise over their life right now. Father, surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their mind as they sleep, and let their dreams be filled with Your love, comfort, and reassurance.


Lord, we ask that You break any chains of fear or oppression that might be causing these nightmares. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” We declare this truth over their mind and spirit, believing that You have given them authority in Christ to overcome fear.


Holy Spirit, we ask You to fill their heart and home with Your presence. Drive out anything that is not of You and bring light into the darkness. In Psalm 91:11, You promise, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Lord, we ask for Your angels to stand watch over them, protecting them as they sleep.


We also ask for patience and perseverance for Your child, who has been praying faithfully for so long. Strengthen their faith and remind them that Your timing is perfect, as You work all things together for their good. Help them to trust in You fully, even when the journey feels long and difficult.


Finally, Lord, we pray that their nights will become a time of restoration and peace. Let them wake up refreshed, filled with joy, and confident in Your love and care. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.
