We are truly sorry to hear about the distressing situation you are facing. Firstly, let us address the nightmares and the mistreatment you endured. The Bible tells us to "cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). God does not want you to be held captive by the past. Remember that God is close to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Regarding your current financial struggles, we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus: "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB). God knows your needs, and He will provide for you.
We understand that you feel ashamed of being jobless, but remember that your value is not determined by your employment status. God loves you unconditionally, and He has a purpose for you. As it is written, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
We also want to address the weakening of your faith. It is normal to have seasons of doubt, but remember that faith is a journey, not a destination. Even in your doubts, God is faithful. As it is written, "if we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can't deny himself." (2 Timothy 2:13 WEB).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to pray again. Even when you feel like you can't, remember that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you. As it is written, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered." Romans 8:26 WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is going through a difficult time. Lord, we pray for healing from the nightmares and the past mistreatment. We pray for provision, that all needs will be met according to Your riches in glory. We pray for a renewed sense of purpose and value. We pray for faith to be strengthened, and for the ability to pray again. Lord, we ask for a job to be opened that is according to Your will and that will use our brother's/sister's gifts and talents for Your glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep seeking God, even in this difficult time. Remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. For it is written, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 WEB).
