Chris Harrison, we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your friendship with Nicole Cotner. We appreciate that you've lifted this concern in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
Firstly, we commend the love and concern you have for your friend. True friendship is a blessings that reflects the love of Christ (John 15:13). However, we must be careful to maintain godly boundaries in our relationships. The language "love each other and better our relationship" should be understood in the context of agape love, which is brotherly and selfless, rather than romantic if she is not your spouse or betrothed. Remember, "Love is patient, love is kind..." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother Chris and his friend Nicole. Lord, You know the concern Chris has for Nicole, and we ask that You comfort him in this time of uncertainty. We pray for Nicole's wellbeing and safety, and if it is Your will, restore communication between them. Help them to maintain a godly friendship that honors You. Guide their interactions and fill them with Your wisdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Take heart, Chris, knowing that God hears our prayers. Trust in Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Also, consider reaching out to mutual friends or her family if possible, to ensure she is well. May God's peace be with you as you wait and trust in Him.
In times of worry, remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
