We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing with your dad. It's important to remember that God calls us to honor our parents, but He also desires that our homes be filled with love, patience and understanding. God's call to husbands and fathers is to love their wives and children as Christ loves the church, which is a selfless and compassionate love that seeks to serve their best interest.

Let's pray together for your dad - WEB Romans 15:5:Now the God of patience and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Messiah Yeshua.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this dear one's father to You. We ask that You soften his heart and fill him with Your kindness, patience, compassion, self-control, and understanding. Help him to see the love You have for his family and to reflect that to his wife and children in the way he treats them. Turn his heart towards You, Lord, and may the fruit of your Holy Spirt be evident to all around him. We pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to be evident in his life, giving him the strength to act in love and kindness towards his wife and children. Guide and direct his actions and words towards his wife and children. Give him the grace and support to be the godly husband and father You have called him to be.

We also pray for this dear one and their mother, that You would fill them with Your love, patience, self-control, and wisdom. Help them to respond to his unkindness with Your love and kindness, and guide them in how to best handle these challenges. Protect them emotionally and spiritually, and draw them closer to You during this time.

We pray for peace and healing in their home, and for God's will to be done in their family. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is patient, loving, and kind to all of us.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to trust in God and His timing. Continue to show your dad respect and honor, but also set boundaries to protect yourself and your mother from harm. God is faithful, and He will work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
