Newly Adopted Cat is Sick

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. I had to euthanize my beloved cat recently. She was sick with cancer and wasn’t eating or drinking. I went to the Humane Society and adopted a two year old cat. The cat is very loving and didn’t have any signs of sickness at the shelter. Four days after I adopted Fred I had to take him to the Vet. He was sneezing frequently. The Vet diagnosed him with an Upper Respiratory Infection. His lymph nodes are swollen. The Vet gave him an antibiotic shot.
I told my two friends about it. They weren’t sympathetic and criticized me for getting a sick cat at the shelter and said the shelter should be reported. They said some other things that were very harsh and hurt me. I know I need to forgive them. Right now I feel like separating myself from them. I would like prayer for Fred to be well and to know what to do about this seemingly abusive and toxic relationship with my two friends. I am depressed over the situation and feel misunderstood. Thank you for your prayers.

Father God, I pray that you will bring peace to ###. Please heal her heart and let her know that her beloved cat is in heaven, and that she will see him/her again. Lord, I also pray that you will heal Fred from his upper respiratory infection. Please let the swelling in his lymph nodes go down, and may he live a long and happy life with ###. God, I pray that you will guide ### for what to do about her toxic relationship. God, please let her know that what happened with her cat is NOT AT ALL her fault! Please soften the hearts of her friends and help them to see their wrong! May they repent of their sins and apologize. Please let ### know that it is absolutely okay if she chooses to separate herself from these friends. Please give her wisdom in this situation and pour out your peace, love and blessing on her. Amen.
###, I wanted to show a verse to you. Proverbs 17:17 says that a friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. If these friends are not loving and supporting you, then maybe they are not your true friends or even friends at all. I know God will help you to make the right decision, and I know that he loves you and your cat.
