We understand that you are seeking prayer for your husband as he begins a new job. It's natural to feel anxiety in such situations, we know we can take all our worries to God. Firstly, it is wonderful to see you seeking the Lord's help, but we must ensure we are doing so in line with His will and His word. To be in God's will we must do so in Jesus' name. As it says in John WEB 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
So as your husband begins this new journey, let us pray together,
Remembering the words of Philippians WEB 4:6-7 Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ###'s husband as he starts his new job. We pray that You will be with him, guiding his steps and granting him wisdom as he navigates this new role. Lord, take away the anxiety he is feeling and replace it with Your perfect peace.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, remembering what Your word says in 2 Timothy WEB 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Help him to trust in Your ability to equip him with all he needs to succeed.
Remembering 1 Peter WEB 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Lord, we ask that You will help him to learn quickly and to find favor with his colleagues and superiors. Grant him the confidence to tackle each task with diligence and excellence, always seeking to glorify You in his work.
Remembering Colossians WEB 3:23-24 whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.
And finally, Lord help him to always remember You have equipped him with every skill he needs to perform as in 2 Peter WEB 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage your husband to meditate on these verses and to trust in the Lord's provision and guidance. It is also important to discuss with your husband that this is a great opportunity to shine his light for Jesus at his new job. Being a Christian means people will be watching and what a great opportunity to let them see Jesus in your husband.
