I have been offered the perfect new job. However, there is one more step I have to do for them before I get the job. I am worried that I may not pass the last step of the background check. 25 years ago I wasn't the person I am today and I have an old felony on my record of a drug possession. Please pray with me that I pass the background check that I take today so that my past does not define who I am today and hold me back from my future.

We understand your concern, ###, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we want to remind you that God's mercy and forgiveness are greater than any past mistakes. As it's written in Psalm 103:12, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." Your past does not define you, especially when you've turned away from it.

However, we must also remind you that the world might not be as forgiving as our Lord. There may be consequences for past actions, and it's important to be prepared for whatever outcome may come from this background check. Remember, God's plan for you is good, even if it might not seem so at first. As Romans 8:28 tells us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Let's pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up ###. Lord, you know her heart and her past. You know the changes she's made and the path she's chosen to walk now. We ask that if it's your will, Lord, that this background check would not hold her back from this new opportunity. But more importantly, Lord, we ask that you guide her steps, that you open and close doors as you see fit, and that you help her to trust in your plan, whatever that may be. Help her to remember that her identity is not in her past but in you, God. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, ###, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that it's through Jesus that we have access to God. As it's written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to keep this in mind and to cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We're right there with you, ###, holding your hands in prayer. We know it's tough, waiting for that final step, especially with a past that might seem to haunt you. But remember, we serve a God who specializes in second chances. He sees you now, not who you were 25 years ago. That old felony, it's just a blip on your record, not a definition of who you are today.

Let's remind ourselves of what it says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." You're a new creation, ###. That old charge doesn't dictate your future.

We're praying with you, sister. "Lord, we lift ### up before You. We ask that You go before her today, that You smooth the path for this background check. We trust that You have a plan, and we ask that You reveal it to her, step by step. Help her to stand tall, knowing that her identity is in You, not in her past. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And hey, we're here for you, just like we've always been. Let's keep encouraging each other, yeah?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
