Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns with us. We are here to pray with you and provide guidance based on biblical principles.
Firstly, we rejoice with you for your new house. It is a blessing from God, and we pray that it will be a place of peace, joy, and love. However, we must address the issue of the previous owners who lived in sin, as you mentioned they were not married and did not serve God. This is a reminder that God's design for relationships is clear: "For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24, WEB).
As for the struggles you're facing, let's tackle them one by one.
For your one-year-old's sleep struggles, we pray for God's peace and comfort to envelop your child. Remember, Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14, WEB). Trust that God cares for your child even more than you do.
Regarding your bad dreams and hindrances, we pray for God's protection and guidance. The Bible tells us, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Trust in God's power to overcome any fears or hindrances.
You mentioned you would like us to ask God for a house cleaning. We pray for your home to be cleansed and dedicated to God. We pray that your home would be a home of faith, "As for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh" (Joshua 24:15, WEB). Also, we pray that your home would be a home of peace. "Peace be to this house" (Luke 10:5, WEB).
Finally, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As the Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already done so. Remember, "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:9-10, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your blessing and protection over this new home. Cleanse this house from any past sins and dedicate it to You, Lord. We pray for peace and comfort for the one-year-old, that they may sleep soundly. We rebuke any spirits of fear causing bad dreams and hindrances, and we ask for Your guidance and protection. We pray that this home would be a beacon of faith, love, and service to You, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
