Glorious Sabbath Day People of God

Some, who counsel and influence through false doctrine, will have even the masses, entertaining and engaging in all sorts of self-willed activity, which has nothing to do with God, but only serve to satisfy the lust of the eye.

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3)

When we receive the Truth, that is the Gospel, we are set free from the bondages of sin. Because we are human, and therefore fallible, we have the propensity to backslide (return to sin); but, our Father, who is in heaven, sends to us another comforter, through our belief in Christ Jesus, whom we receive by way of repentance. Having accepted Christ, as our forever sacrifice for sin, we have made the choice to turn away from sin; therefore, when we choose to sin again, we grieve the Holy Spirit by insulting God’s Spirit of grace. Once we know the truth about God’s grace, through Christ Jesus, we mustn’t trample over His beautiful, priceless, unmatched gift by returning to our own vomit (sin); or worst yet, by returning to our ancestor’s vomit of idolatry. For there is then no more sacrifice:

“REPENT,” Peter said to them, “and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus the Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit’ (Acts 2:38)

Resistance, indiffernce, sheer anger, especially in response to the message of repentance is unimaginable haughtiness (pride, arrogance) towards God. The grace of God is repentance for the remission of sin.

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Through baptismal in the Holy Ghost, we are cleansed from all sin and unrighteousness, but to return to sin is to invite satan back into our lives. The Holy Spirit strengthens us so that we are able to resist the devil (the spirit who influences us to dismissively condone our sin; rather than repent of it) :

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. (James 4:7-8)
Have a glorious day

❤️

Note: To return to one's own vomit is bad enough, but to return to someone else's; that's really nasty. Jesus hung out with sinners; He didn’t become a sinner; nor did He approve of their sin.

It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit...
