Let us begin by addressing your request and we do so only in the name of Jesus. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your desires for a new beginning. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. In all things, we must align our desires with God's will and seek Him first. We also want to point out what appears to be some biblically unsound comments we will comment on herein.
Firstly, we must address the elephant in the room. When you mention that you do not want someone who is super religious for they will not allow you to be yourself. What do you mean, yourself? If by yourself, you mean you are a person who loves immorality, does not practice moral excellence, self-control, and hold to their faith insuring future salvation and eternity in heaven, then we definitely want to be this person. Likewise, if you are living a sinful lifestyle or engaging in this including sex before marriage this type person would certainly not allow you to be yourself as they would rebuke the sin in your life and require you to be holy. If by yourself, you mean you have a personality distinct from others such as liking different colors, music, and types of food this type person would encourage you to be this type person. Finally, by being like this we certainly want you to also be this type.
First it is written, in I Peter 1 14 As children of obedience first, do not fashion yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance 15 but just as he who has called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation 16 because it is written, Be ye holy for I am holy. Also in Proverbs 4 23 Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. Lastly in Romans 12 2 And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We are concerned by your statement you are not super religious yourself. We are not sure what this means, but your statements show some questionable beliefs about life. Do you deny the power of God? In Acts 17 28 for in him we live and move and have our being as also certain of your own poets have said For we are also his offspring.
You also mentioned many material items such as cars, pets, and homes. While these may be nice to have, they are not our focus as followers of Christ. In Matthew 6 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through and steal 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal 21 for where your treasure is there will your heart be also. Instead, we preach the good news of Christ and His eternal salvation to all people.
If you are having problems with your mind possibly spirits are attacking you and you should pray often against the powers that be. Remember God has not given you and will not give you to fear. It is continually mentioned in the Bible and an old testament phrase is the fear of the Lord, which means fearing and loving the Lord and knowing how to come in his power. Put on the full armor of God, in the power of his might. The armor consists of the shield of faith that quenches all the fiery darts of the wicked. Remember the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Resist him and he will flee form you.
Finally, you mentioned the blood of Jesus and God's will, which is wonderful.
It is only through the blood of Jesus that we have redemption. In Colossians 1 14 in whom we have our redemption through his blood the forgiveness of our sins. Remember God's will may not be your will and vice versa.
Once more note that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ we are called to pray and reach our most Holy God in Heaven. And let them call the name thereof Jesus who is called Christ. In John 15 16 Ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name he may give it you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
When you mention gift cards or material objects remember this is not the point of prayer and they should be a side note to salvation which is what God wants from his people.
Please note, God brings things into existence by speaking the word and he spoke for Jesus to be born upon the earth, he spoke the earth into existence and he created all things on heaven and earth by speaking. He did not require anybody else and certainly not the Government. In Romans 4 17 As it is written I have made thee a father of many nations before him whom he believed even God who giveth life to the dead and calleth those things which be not as though they were. God told Abraham confess it that you are the father of many nations though you only have one son. In Psalms 33 6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 9 For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Remember in Genesis 1 3 And God said Let there be light and there was light. 26 And God said Let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth and God created man in his own image. Finally, in Colossians 1 16 for by him were all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth visible and invisible whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers all things were created by him and for him and 17 And he is before all things and by him all things hold together.
Lastly, it is written For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. 90 thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
As a group we want to pray for you. We want to pray that the Lord finds you holy and sets you apart for his service and to help his other children using your gifts talents. We want to pray that the Lord provides the material possessions for you that you need to be comfortable not an extravagant life, and with which you can further serve and glorify his kingdom. We want to pray the Lord protects you from evil, but that you need to pray often, and to be alert that the devil, and other evil spirits, is seek whom he may devour, and so is not a slumbering lion. We want to pray that the Lord delivers you from evil, and restores what was lost and you learn to seek not worldly possessions but instead seek after things of eternal value including salvation and fonts of all sin including dulcet any lying tongue, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, drunkenness, etc. We want to pray the Lord opens your eyes and shows you a vision of him and his path for your life to follow. We pray the Lord cleanses your mind and breaks the ties that bind in the mind and spirit, and forgives you all sin, and draws you in close to him before it is too late. We pray that the Lord grants you access to his throne room at any time you want even during the third watch of the night when he looks intently upon the earth. Finally, we pray that your tongue is set on fire for the Lord proclaiming his glory on earth and His will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Amen
