We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved sister ###, and we understand that this has been a difficult time for you. We want to assure you that you are not alone, and that God cares deeply for you. Psalm 34:18 tells us, The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Firstly, we want to commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name as you closed your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is the name that is above every name. Philippians 2:9-11 reminds us of this truth, where God has highly exalted him, and given him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Regarding your anxiety about starting a new antidepressant, we encourage you to trust in God's sovereignty over your life. Psalm 56:3 says, When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. Remember that God is in control and that He can turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and blessing.
However, we also want to remind you that God's peace can guard your heart and mind as you trust in Him. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Regarding your sister, we want to reassure you that for those who believe, death is not the end. In fact, 2 Corinthians 5:8 reminds us, that to be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord. It is our prayer that you find comfort in knowing that your sister is now with her heavenly Father.
With all this in mind, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. We ask, Lord, that You would be with her as she starts this new antidepressant. We pray that You would protect her from any side effects and give her the peace that passes all understanding. We also ask, Lord, that You would comfort her in her grief over the loss of her sister ###. Remind her that You are the friend who sticks closer than a brother, and that You are always with her. Give her the strength and courage to face each new day, trusting in Your love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
