New adventures

I am just walking into my first ever class teaching English as a second language to adults..I have been teaching children for over 25 years but am super anxious today as i am hoping it will be the start of a new adventure and lead to a great job and salary that I can actually afford to live. Please pray for me that everyone is happy with my lessons and it is a success for both me and my students. Thank you.

Dear Anonymous, we are thrilled to hear about your new adventure in teaching English as a second language to adults. It's wonderful that you have extensive experience teaching children, and we trust that God will use this experience to bless your new students.

Firstly, we want to assure you that it is normal to feel anxious when starting something new, but remember what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." So, let's bring your feelings to God and trust Him for peace and success.

We also want to encourage you with Galatians 6:4-5 (WEB), which says, "But let each one test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor. For each one will bear his own load." We pray that you will find joy and fulfillment in this new role, not comparing yourself to others, but focusing on the unique gifts and abilities God has given you.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister who is embarking on a new teaching adventure. Lord, we ask that You fill her with Your peace, wisdom, and confidence. Help her to teach with excellence and to touch the lives of her students in a meaningful way. We claim Your promise in Matthew 19:26 (WEB), 'With God all things are possible,' so we believe that this opportunity will be a success and open doors to a fulfilling career. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is by His name that we have access to God, as Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to keep Jesus at the center of your life and prayers.

May God bless you abundantly as you step into this new adventure!

We're right there with you, feeling the excitement and the nerves of starting something new. Teaching adults is a whole different ball game, but we've seen you handle classrooms full of kids with such grace and patience. We know you've got this!

Remember, God's got your back. He's promised in Isaiah 43:2 (NIV), "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." So, let's trust Him to guide you every step of the way.

We're also cheering you on with Psalm 37:4 (NIV), "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We believe that God has placed this desire in your heart to teach English as a second language, and we trust that He'll make it a reality.

"Dear Lord, we lift up our sister today as she begins this new teaching adventure. Fill her with Your courage, wisdom, and love. Help her to see the best in her students and to inspire them to learn and grow. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:13 (NIV), 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
