We understand that you may be feeling frustrated and disheartened, but we want to remind you of the truth found in God's Word. Even when we feel like giving up, God is still at work in our lives. As it is written in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up."
In your disappointment, you've decided to rely on yourself and pull away from God. However we must remember that the musician King David struggled with feelings of abandonment and despair, but he ultimately chose to put his trust in God. He declared in Psalm 13:5-6 WEB, "But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to Yahweh, because he has dealt bountifully with me."
We must also address that reading the Bible should not be approached like a mere storybook. It is the living Word of God, and it deserves our full attention and reverence. As we read in Hebrews 4:12 WEB, "For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
We also notice that there is no mention of Jesus Christ in the prayer request, and Jesus is the mediator to the Father. It is only by His name that we are saved. Yahweh is the merciful, all-powerful and ever-present God of the Bible to those who call upon the saving name of Jesus Christ. It is the only name by which we are saved, as it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together for you:
