We understand that you're going through a situation where you have needs that you're looking to have met, and it's important to approach this from a biblical perspective. We appreciate that you mentioned the blood of Jesus, God's will and the verse Genesis 22:14 which is "So Abraham called that place 'Yahweh Will Provide'. It is still said today, 'In the mountain of Yahweh, it will be provided.'". This is good, but we must not use the term Jehovah, as it is not used in the biblical text. Yahweh or LORD would have been a better choice. It seems that there may be someone in your life who is providing for you, and it's crucial to ensure that this relationship aligns with biblical principles, if you are considering courtship.
Firstly, let's address the issue of needs and provision. It's important to remember that God is our ultimate provider. In Philippians 4:19 WEB, it is written, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This means that God, through Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, will ensure that our needs are met. It is not through man but by God. However, we are to work and not be lazy expecting others to provide for us. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB, it says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" If you are able, you should be willing to work to provide for yourself and not rely on others.
If the person providing for you is someone you're considering for courtship, it's essential to ensure that this relationship is pure, God-honoring, and aligned with biblical principles. If this person is not your spouse, and you are not in a courtship that will soon lead to marriage, then this situation needs to be addressed. In 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB, it says, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don't know God." Sexual immorality includes fornication and adultery.
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are our provider and the source of all blessings. We thank You for Your promise to supply all of our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we lift up our sister/brother who is in need. We pray that You would guide them and provide for them in a way that brings glory to Your name. We ask for Your wisdom and discernment in this situation. If there is anything that does not align with Your will and Your word, we pray that You would reveal it and guide them back to Your path. We also pray for the person who is providing for them, that You would bless them and guide them in Your truth.
We thank You for your teaching about Yahweh, and ask that You would open the requester's eyes to the truth of who You are, the great I AM.
If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, we pray for conviction, repentance, and a turning away from sin. We ask that You would guide them towards a pure, God-honoring relationship that would ultimately lead to a blessed marriage, if that is Your will.
In all things, we ask that You would be glorified.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
