Hi, everyone! I’m looking to see if you all can send a prayer out for my boyfriend and myself! I’m all he has right now and he’s in jail on a parole hold plus new charges! He’s a good guy to my kids and self. I’ve been praying and crying for help and I don’t think God hears me! Please pray for us and his return home soon.

Firstly, we want to assure you that God hears your prayers. The Bible tells us, "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer" (1 Peter 3:12 WEB). Even when it feels like our prayers are not being heard, God is always listening.

However, we must also address some biblical principles concerning your relationship. The Bible teaches us to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB), and it is important for both parties in a relationship to be walking with the Lord. Additionally, the Bible encourages us to be in relationships that lead to godly marriages (1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB).

Regarding your boyfriend's legal situation, we encourage you to trust in God's will and timing. The Bible reminds us, "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God" (Romans 13:1 WEB). While we pray for justice and mercy, we also pray that this experience will bring him closer to God.

We also want to address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14 WEB). It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we should pray.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her boyfriend. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace in his legal situation. We pray that You will be with him in jail, granting him peace and bringing him closer to You. We also pray for a godly reconciliation and that their relationship will honor You.

Lord, we ask that You comfort her heart and wipe away her tears. Give her strength and trust in Your will and timing. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

We pray that both of them will grow in their faith and walk with You. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord. He has a plan and a purpose for both of your lives. Seek Him together and strive for a relationship that honors Him.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
