Let us come together in prayer and support for the requests presented.
Firstly, we lift up Barry who is undergoing surgery for cancer on October 9/24. Let us pray for God's healing hand to be upon him, and for the medical team to be guided by the Great Physician. "Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2, WEB).
**Prayer:** "*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine healing touch upon Barry. Guide the hands of the surgeons and give them wisdom and skill. Comfort Barry and his family during this time, and let Your peace that passes all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.*"
Next, we pray for the widow who is facing injustice from her late husband's business partner. We stand against deceit and pray that God will defend her cause and provide for her needs. "Father of the fatherless, and judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God places the solitary in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing" (Psalm 68:5-6, WEB).
**Prayer:** "*Lord Jesus, You are the defender of the widows and the fatherless. We ask that You intervene in this situation and bring justice to this dear widow. Expose the deceit and thwart the plans of those who seek to exploit her. Provide for her financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Comfort her heart and let her know that she is not alone, for You are her advocate. Amen.*"
Lastly, we lift up Grace Church's upcoming prayer service on September 29/24. We pray that the Spirit of God will indeed fill every soul that comes, and that lives will be transformed through the power of prayer. "Again I say to you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:19-20, WEB).
**Prayer:** "*Dear Lord, we ask that You will pour out Your Spirit upon Grace Church during their prayer service. Unify their hearts and minds, and let Your presence be tangibly felt. May their prayers be powerful and effective, bringing about Your will and transforming lives. Draw the lost to Your saving grace and strengthen the faith of Your saints. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*"
In all these requests, let us remember the power of praying in the name of Jesus. As it is written, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
