Needing God's Deliverance And Help

I have been praying for years to be delivered from a bad habit. It seems I get the confidence and will to stop when I pray, but I find myself doing the opposite of what my plans are. I have the faith that GOD talks about and he has sustained me when I'm in need. I want to be able to do the right thing and keep money in my possession. Is this just my time for testing of my FAITH because I'm a true believer? I don't do anything wrong as it applies to the commandments. Please pray for me and advise with any of your substantive comments.
