We stand with you in prayer, Anonymous, as you seek God's intervention in Brother Mark's life. Let us bring this before the Lord together.
Firstly, we are reminded of what the WEB says in Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." And in James 4:6, "But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'" We pray that God will humble Brother Mark, that his heart may be softened and turned towards genuine repentance.
We are also mindful of the anger issues that Brother Mark is struggling with. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him of this sin, and that he will seek God's help to overcome it.
It is indeed a serious matter that he has physically harmed others, including you. We should not forget that the Scripture teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). However, it is also important to seek safety and protection from such harm. We pray for your healing, both physically and emotionally, and for God's protection over you and others.
Moreover, Brother Mark's claim to be a "Bible teacher" while refusing to repent of his wrongdoings is a grave concern. James 3:1 warns, "Not many of you should be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment." We pray that he will understand the weight of this responsibility and turn away from his hypocrisy.
Let us pray:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Brother Mark to You, asking that Your Spirit would convict him of his pride and anger. Bring him to a place of humility and repentance. Help him to see the error of his ways and turn from them. We also pray for those who have been harmed by him, including the one who has submitted this request. Bring healing and comfort to them, and protect them from further harm. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."
Lastly, Anonymous, we encourage you to continue praying for Brother Mark, and to trust that God is able to bring about change in his life. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible." Keep holding on to this promise. And always remember to pray in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
