Need to win chess game

I'm playing chess against a very aggressive openant. Please pray that Jesus directs my steps so He can help me win the chess game and He can get the glory

It is important to remember that while God cares about every aspect of our lives, His primary concern is our spiritual growth and His glory, not necessarily our victory in games or competitions. However, we can pray for wisdom, discernment, and a calm spirit during your chess game.

We are reminded of the Apostle Paul's words in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

We can also draw from the story of Joseph in Genesis 41:16 (WEB), where he tells Pharaoh, "It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer." This reminds us that our abilities and successes ultimately come from God.

Lastly, it is wonderful that you acknowledged Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, consider committing your life fully to Jesus Christ, believing in Him as your Lord and Savior.
