Krinygma, we stand with you in your struggle to quit vaping, and we commend you for acknowledging your need for God's help in this journey. You have come to the right place, for in Jesus' name, we can find strength and victory over our struggles.
Firstly, let us recall what the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (WEB): "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
Your struggle to quit vaping is an opportunity for God's power to be manifested in your life. It is not through your own strength, but through His grace that you can overcome this addiction. We encourage you to surrender this habit to God completely, trusting that He will give you the strength to resist the temptation.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Krinygma who is struggling to quit vaping. Lord, You know their heart and their desire to be free from this addiction. We ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the strength and self-control needed to overcome this habit. Help them to fix their thoughts on You, trusting in Your power to help them resist the temptation. Be with them during their surgery and rehab, comforting and encouraging them throughout the process. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Krinygma, we also encourage you to meditate on God's word daily, especially verses that speak of His strength and power in our weakness. Here is one such verse:
Philippians 4:13 (WEB): "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
Whenever you feel the urge to vape, turn to God in prayer and recite this verse, trusting in His strength to help you resist the temptation. Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and His power (John 14:6).
Stay strong in the Lord, and do not be discouraged by setbacks. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, trusting that He will see you through this struggle. We are praying for you and believe that you will overcome this addiction, giving all glory to God.
