Almighty and Everlasting God, we lift up Your child who is standing at the threshold of a major transition, feeling called to move overseas to live and work. In this time of preparation and change, we ask for Your hand to guide them, Your wisdom to direct them, and Your peace to sustain them.
Lord, we pray for the smooth processing and timely issuance of their passport. May there be no obstacles that delay or hinder this crucial step, as stated in Isaiah 45:2, "I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron." Let every administrative process be marked by Your favor and expedition.
As they prepare to sell their belongings, we ask for Your provision, ensuring that each sale is conducted fairly and beneficially. Grant them discernment and wisdom in deciding what to keep and what to release, reflecting on Matthew 6:19-21, where Jesus taught, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." May this process of letting go and moving forward deepen their trust in You and align their heart with eternal treasures.
Provide for them, Lord, not just in the logistics of selling and moving but also in finding a new home and meaningful work in this new land. Open doors to opportunities that will not only meet their needs but also allow them to flourish and make a positive impact in their new community.
We pray for their safety, health, and well-being during the transition and once they have arrived. Surround them with Your protection, as promised in Psalm 121:7-8, "The Lord will keep you from all harmβHe will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
Lastly, we ask that they find a community of faith that welcomes and supports them, fostering spiritual growth and fellowship. Equip them with courage, resilience, and an open heart to embrace this new chapter of their life, knowing that "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39).
We entrust all these prayers to You, Lord, confident in Your provision and care. Guide our friend through each step, filling them with Your spirit of peace, courage, and hope.
In Jesusβ Name, we pray, Amen.
