We understand your struggle with clutter and the difficulty in letting go of material things. It's important to remember that our security and contentment should come from God, not from our possessions. As it is written in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, "Be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### who is feeling overwhelmed by clutter. Please give her/him the strength and wisdom to let go of the things that do not honor you or bring true joy. Help her/him to find inner security and contentment in you alone, not in material possessions. Guide her/him through this process of decluttering, and give her/him peace in her/his decisions.
Please help her/him to set her/his mind on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth as it says in Colossians 3:2 WEB. Guide her/him in understanding that all things should be done in love including letting go of material things that may be weighing her/him down and preventing her/him from focusing on you.
We also ask that you reveal to her/him if there are any areas in her/his life that may not be aligned with your will. Help her/him to turn away from anything that may be displeasing to you and turn towards that which you approve.
We ask this in Jesus precious name, Amen.
You can start by asking God for wisdom regarding what to keep and what to let go, we believe that you will receive it because it is promised in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."
As you proceed, consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"
Lastly, let us encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus and his teachings. If you are not born again by believing in Jesus Christ then learn about this and if you are saved already then continue to walk with Jesus and live according to his teachings. As it says in Colossians 3:1 WEB, "If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God."
