Let us remember God's promises in Scripture. We may face trials and conflicts, but in our weakness, God’s power is made perfect, and He never fails us. We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."
And in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
First, let us pray for wisdom and strength. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your guidance and strength. We lift up our brother who is facing a difficult confrontation. Grant him the wisdom to know what to say and the courage to say it. Fill him with Your peace, and let Your words be on his lips. Help him to confront in love, seeking reconciliation and understanding.
Remember, it is important to speak the truth in love, as Ephesians 4:15 tells us, "but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ." Confrontation should always be done in a spirit of love and humility, not out of anger or pride.
In Matthew 18:15-17, Jesus gives us a clear process for confrontation: "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector."
Lastly, we must rely on God's strength, not our own. In Zechariah 4:6, we are reminded, "Then he answered me, 'This is the word of Yahweh to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says Yahweh of Armies.'"
Trust in the Lord, and He will give you the strength and words to confront as needed. Always remember, it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have any power. The Bible tells us in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
