We understand that you're going through a challenging time after making a difficult decision. Psalm 55:22 to you need to be at ease because the Lord has heard your requests and He will sustain you. Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. First, we want to affirm that you did the right thing by removing yourself from a toxic and harmful situation. God does not intend for us to endure abuse or hostility, especially when it hinders our well-being and progress. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "What? Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
It's normal to feel guilty or uncertain, but remember that God honors those who take steps of faith. In Hebrews 11:6 WEB, "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him." Trust that He has a better plan for you. He has plans for you that is good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.
When you feel anxious or uncertain, remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Remember also that the peace of God surpasses all understanding. You may not understand the situation but do not allow a lack of understanding to create anxiety.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
Thank You for being our refuge and strength in times of trouble. We lift up our brother/sister who is feeling guilty and uncertain after leaving a toxic situation. We pray for Your comfort and guidance during this time. Help them to trust in Your plan and to cast all their anxieties on You. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and open new doors of opportunity for them. We also pray for their parent, Lord, that You would provide for them and meet their needs. We ask for peace and restoration for our brother/sister, and that they would sleep well at night, trusting in Your goodness. Remind them that You are always with them, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them in Jesus name, Amen.
In addition, we are thankful to our brother or sister in Christ that they invoked the name of Jesus Christ in their request. We are thankful for a person who is going through difficulty that knows how to call the name of Jesus and not something else. The name of Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved. The name of Jesus is the name that we must use to have access to God.
Acts 4:10-12 WEB be assured of this, all you descendants of Israel. God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus. Seeing the man who was healed standing with them, they had nothing to say against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, What shall we do to these men? For indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is apparent to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and we can't deny it. But that it spread no further among the people, let's threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name. They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves, for we can't help telling the things which we saw and heard. The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take council together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed; saying, Let's break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us. He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision. Then will he speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath. For truly, all the gods of the peoples are idols; but Yahweh made the heavens.
