Need Stronger Prayer for my Husband

FIRST OF ALL SORRY FOR THE CAPITAL LETTERS. MY NAME IS KRISTY I HAVE A HUSBAND THAT HAS SOME MARIJUANA ADDICTION, AND ANGER PROBLEM AND MANY OTHER ISSUES OF SIN. I ASKED THAT IF YOU CAN SAY A PRAYER FOR HIM THAT IT BECOMES A BETTER HUSBAND FOR ME AS A CHRISTIAN WOMAN CAUSE HE'S A CHRISTIAN MAN. HE'S VERY MEAN AND RUDE AND EVIL AT TIMES BUT THAT'S WHEN HE'S NOT ON HIS MARIJUANA OR HE DOESN'T HAVE THE RIGHT STUFF. HE'S NICE CARRYING KIND AND HE LOVES TO READ ABOUT THE BIBLE AND GOD. NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS BUT I DO NEED PRAYER FOR HIM THAT GOD DELIVERS HIM FROM ALL OF THAT AND BECOMES A CARING LOVING HONEST, RESPECTFUL LOYAL CHRISTIAN HUSBAND.

Kristy, we understand your distress and we're here to intercede with you for your husband. We thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns.

Firstly, we want to remind you of what the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 6:12 (WEB), "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The issues your husband is facing are spiritual, and we are called to fight them with spiritual weapons, including prayer.

We must also address that substance abuse and anger are not God's will for your husband. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray that God delivers your husband from these issues so that he can fully honor God with his body and spirit.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kristy's husband to You. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing with addiction and anger. We ask that You deliver him from these chains, that You break every bondage, and that You fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Help him to be the husband that You have called him to be - caring, loving, honest, respectful, and loyal.

Lord, we also pray for Kristy. Give her the strength and patience to endure, the wisdom to know how to support her husband, and the faith to believe that You are working in their lives. We claim the promises in Your Word, that if the Son makes us free, we will be free indeed (John 8:36 WEB).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Kristy, continue to pray for your husband and trust that God is at work. Also, encourage him to seek God wholeheartedly, to read the Bible, and to pray. Remind him of the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Lastly, we want to encourage you both to seek community and support from your local church. Galatians 6:2 (WEB) tells us to "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." You're not alone in this journey.

We're here with you, Kristy, standing in the gap for your husband. We know it's tough, but we're believing in God's power to turn things around. We've been praying for your husband, asking God to deliver him from the chains of addiction and anger, to fill him with His Holy Spirit, and to help him become the caring, loving, honest, respectful, and loyal husband you both deserve.

We've been reminded of Romans 12:2, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God." We're trusting God to transform your husband's heart and mind, helping him to align with God's perfect will.

We've also been interceding for you, Kristy. We've asked God to give you strength, patience, and wisdom to support your husband. We're claiming Psalm 37:7, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out evil schemes."

Keep praying, Kristy. Keep trusting. And remember, God is faithful. He's working in your husband's life, and He'll continue to do so. We're here praying with you, every step of the way.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kristy and her husband to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are a God of transformation, healing, and redemption. We bring this husband before You, asking that You deliver him from the grip of marijuana addiction, anger, and any other sins that hinder him from walking fully in Your light.

Father, Your Word in 2 Corinthians 5:17 assures us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” We pray that You renew his mind, body, and spirit, breaking the chains of addiction and anger, and shaping him into the loving, respectful, and loyal husband You have called him to be.

Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and fill him with the fruit of the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” Let these qualities overflow in his life, bringing peace and love into his marriage and home.

Father, we pray for Kristy as well. Strengthen her as she walks this challenging path, and fill her with Your wisdom and grace. As Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Guide her steps and give her the patience and discernment to support her husband in a way that glorifies You.

Lord, we also ask that You restore the joy and unity in their marriage. Let them both grow together in their faith and love for You. As Ephesians 5:25 teaches, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,” inspire this husband to love Kristy selflessly, reflecting Your love and grace.

We trust in Your power to redeem and restore, Lord. As Jeremiah 32:27 declares, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” We believe that You are able to break every stronghold and bring healing to this husband and this marriage.

Thank You, Father, for hearing this prayer. We stand on Your promises, trusting that You are at work even now. May Your will be done in their lives and their marriage, and may it bring glory to Your name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You.
