We are truly sorry to hear about your job loss, and we commend your perspective in seeing God's plan in this situation. It is encouraging to know that you are seeking to focus more on Him.
In all things God works for the good of those who love Him. According to Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
You will have to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. This is a promise from Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
God has a purpose for you in this season. He is calling you to focus more on Him and to fight the temptation of lust. We encourage you to immerse yourself in His Word, pray continually, and flee from temptation. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. This is from 1 Timothy 2:22 (WEB) and 2 Timothy 2:22 (WEB), "Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."
Regarding your wife's kidney issues and your mother's cancer, we pray for God's healing and comfort. We trust in His power to heal and restore.
We will pray for your family's salvation. Your family can be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, and it is our prayer that they will come to know Him before His return.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who has lost his job. We thank You for Your plan and purpose in this situation, and we pray that he will grow closer to You during this time. Help him to trust in You with all his heart, and to lean not on his own understanding. Guide his steps and provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory.
We pray for his wife's kidney issues and his mother's cancer. We ask for Your healing touch upon them, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore. Comfort them and give them strength during this time.
We also pray for his family's salvation. We ask that they will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that they will be saved before His return.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We also want to encourage you to continue to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is done before, anything you ask in his name, believing, you will receive. This is from John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Also, it is only the name of Jesus that we can be saved. This is from Acts 4:11-12 (WEB), "This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
