Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is struggling with the sins of masturbation, watching pornography, and lying to please others. Lord, Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that no temptation has overtaken us except what is common to mankind. And You are faithful; You will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. But when we are tempted, You will also provide a way out so that we can endure it.
Father, we ask for Your strength and guidance to overcome these temptations. Help us to turn away from these sins and to seek purity and truth in all aspects of our lives. Your Word in Psalm 51:10 says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." We pray for a renewed heart and spirit, free from the chains of these sins.
Lord, we also ask for the courage to be honest and to live in a way that pleases You, rather than seeking the approval of others. Help us to remember that our worth and identity are found in You alone. As it says in Galatians 1:10, "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."
We trust in Your grace and mercy, knowing that You are a forgiving God. We ask for Your forgiveness and for the strength to walk in righteousness. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
