Thank you for bringing this matter before us in Jesus' name. We join with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your daughter and her boyfriend.
Firstly, we would like to remind them of the importance of purity and holiness in their relationship. As they are reconciling and love each other, let us pray that they honor God in their relationship, fleeing from any form of sexual immorality. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB), "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
As they navigate their relationship, let us pray that they exemplify the qualities of love outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (WEB): "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up to You the young couple, the daughter and boyfriend of the one who has sent this request. Lord, we pray that You guide them in their relationship, that they may glorify You in their bodies and spirits, which are Yours. Help them to flee from any form of sin, and teach them to love each other with a pure and holy love, just as You have loved us.
We ask that You give them wisdom and discernment as they reconcile, that they may resolve their issues in a godly manner. Help them to be patient, kind, humble, and selfless, always seeking to honor each other and You in their relationship. Guide them as they grow together in love, teaching them to bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things.
We pray that their relationship will be a testament to Your love and grace, and that they will always put You first in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage them to continue seeking God's will for their relationship, trusting in His guidance and wisdom. May they always strive to honor Him in their love for each other.
