We are so sorry to hear about the struggle you're facing in your marriage, ###. Let's come before God together, seeking His will for your life and your marriage.
Firstly, we want to remind you of Jesus' words about divorce in Mark 10:9 (WEB), "What God has joined together, let no one separate." God's heart is for marriage, and He can restore what is broken. However, we also want to acknowledge your pain and assure you that God is close to the brokenhearted, as it says in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
While we pray for restoration, we also want to encourage you to focus on your own spiritual growth. Use this time to draw closer to God, and He will strengthen your faith. As it says in Isaiah 40:31 (WEB), "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
Now, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is hurting. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and strength to surround her. Guide her every step, every decision, and every thought. Lord, we pray for her husband, that You would convict his heart and draw him back to his wife and to You. We stand against the enemy's attempt to destroy this marriage and proclaim restoration and healing in Jesus' name.
Lord, help our sister to fix her eyes on You. Increase her faith, and help her to trust in Your goodness and Your plan for her life. Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this difficult time.
We confess that only by the name of Jesus can we be saved and have access to Your presence, Lord. So, we pray that Your name would be glorified in this situation, and that both husband and wife would be drawn closer to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you, ###, that forgiveness is a powerful tool. It may be difficult, but pray for God to help you forgive your husband. This does not mean what he did is acceptable, but it will release you from bitterness and anger. As it says in Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB), "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Stay strong in the Lord, ###. We are praying for you.
