There are people hurting me, my heart is telling me to pray for them, but I feel like it's bad to pray for them because they are close to me feel like they will get in trouble and also when I try to pray for them I feel terrible and scared. How can I handle this in prayer and also advise me on what to do including scriptures.
In situations like this, it's important to remember that prayer is a powerful tool for healing and reconciliation. Here are some steps and scriptures that might help:
1. **Pray for Wisdom and Guidance**: Ask God to give you wisdom and guidance on how to handle the situation. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
2. **Pray for Healing and Forgiveness**: Pray for healing for both yourself and the people who are hurting you. 1 Peter 2:23 says, "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." Pray that they may also find healing and forgiveness.
3. **Pray for Strength and Courage**: Pray for the strength and courage to face the situation. Isaiah 41:10 says, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
4. **Pray for Reconciliation**: If possible, pray for reconciliation between you and the people who are hurting you. Matthew 5:23-24 says, "So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First, go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift."
5. **Seek Support**: Consider seeking support from a trusted friend, family member, or counselor who can provide guidance and encouragement.
6. **Trust in God's Plan**: Remember that God is in control and has a plan for your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
By praying for wisdom, healing, strength, and reconciliation, you can find peace and guidance in handling difficult situations.
