We understand that you and your son are in a urgent situation, needing a new home to rent due to your current landlady's request to move. We are thankful that you are recovering from your illness and can walk again. We will pray and offer some biblical encouragement for you.
Firstly, we notice that you concluded your prayer with Amen but did not use the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. For the Bible tells us that we have been baptized into the name of Jesus Christ, and it is in his name that we pray and approach God the Father.
Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.
John 14:13 Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
So we will pray in accordance with this teaching.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Leslye and Cameron. We thank you that you are a father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, and that you place the lonely in families, and you are a mighty fortress for those who are overwhelmed. We ask for your divine intervention in their housing situation. We pray that you would open a door for a new townhome that meets their needs. We pray too that Jesus would be praised and savorship given to the only name we can be saved. We ask this in Jesus' name.
Regarding prayers directed to a saint or angel. The Bible clearly teaches that when we become Christians, we have direct access to God through Jesus Christ, and we can boldly approach God's throne of grace with confidence, knowing that Jesus himself is perpetually interceding for us at the Father's right hand. Therefore, we do not need any mediation by saints or angels, and we should not pray to them, as only God can answer our prayers through the authority of Zion. We should only pray to God the Father in Jesus name.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
Romans 8:34 who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
God knows your needs and he cares for you. He is a loving and compassionate Father who watches over his children.
Matthew 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.
1 Peter 5:7 7 7 Let him know about every detail of your life with many thanks. He cares about you.
Remember too 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
We will also remain mindful to not stop praying but also trust God to provide a solution.
Luke 18:1 He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up.
We encourage you to be persistent in prayer and remain faithful to His word.
